The theory on the invisibility cloak has won and I'm working on it. I hope to post it soon. ♥

I love Gorey so so so much, you have no idea. This is wonderful!

Gorey is wonderful, and lucky I don't need to copy his style to capture the spirit which leaves me free to dream away in endless details without worrying it wouldn't be 'Gorey' any more :)

I'm continually impressed with your work. I love his little boots and the paisley detail at the bottom. I confess I know nothing about Edward Gorey, but this piece is just marvellous.

My admiration for Edward Gorey knows no bounds... Have you read Ascending Peculiarity? It is a delight from beginning to end...

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful piece of art with us.

Thank you, no I haven't read it, the Gorey books are very limited here but I'll try to get hold of it, I haven't seen a book by Gorey yet that I didn't like.

Thank you, and I'm sorry but I don't do comissions. You're free to inspire me with comments but I can't make any promises. :)

Is this supposed to be a tapestry of Lucius? A tapestry not made of cloth but drawn?

Re: feels like an idiot

Lol, no it's just a drawing I made, after Gorey's style. Don't worry to look at it, he won't hut you :)

Ooh, so beautiful! Brings to mind illustrations of old books. All your work does but this even more so. :-) I love it!

Thank you, it's very peaceful to draw this style, the hours go quickly but I enjoy the details. :)

Forgot to mention that I do think it's beautiful, even though I'm trying to
understand the type of style. ((shows how ignorant I am of the arts. I just see the beauty.))

....
agrees with Kat. I'm looking forward to your theories... well you already know that. *snickers*

one question, will you post them here or create a different lj for that?

Strelitzias (art by Romola Templeton)

I am very much enjoying the little Lucius series, and this one... I love Gorey's work, and this is so much in his manner. It adds an extra to have such a sweet image, and to know that Lucius isn't quite like that, very much in Gorey's manner! Thank you!

I'm not sure how his parents got Lucius to keep still for the artists, though. Perhaps for this one they used the Draught of Living Death.

Lol, Thank you, Lucius had no problem posing as it was his time for a beauty sleep. :)

Gorey has always been a favourite. You should carry on his noble work for you capture its dark spirit very well.

Thank you, Sir, I am honoured you like it.
I will continue this series, I feel I haven't quite seen everything of your dark spirit.
