Thank you, I imagine he must feel awful when he hears his aunt's footsteps coming down the stairs. Poor kid, Albus should have stopped this.

Hero

AWWW! *cuddles Harry* It's so wierd - I just reread Sorcerer's(Philosopher's) Stone this week and suddenly a whole bunch of people are doing artwork from it! This is beautiful :D

(PS: Your new layout is gorgeous!)

So beautiful! The colors are so delicate and lovely. And those shadows. And all the little details! The lightbulb, his glasses, Petunia's legs, his little toothbrush! :D

Oh, Mnem. This is simply amazing. The level of detail you've put into this while still keeping it uncluttered and elegant is astounding. I love this one. He's curled up in the fetal position, desperately wanting to remain asleep so he doesn't have to face the life he leads. As you say, you just want to take Dumbledore by the shoulders and shake him, saying, "how can you condone the abuse?" This little boy needs love.

Cuddles him and all the other little children we don't know about who need us and are languishing in their own prisons under the stairs.

One of my first reactions to the Potter Books was 'How cruel are these books?', as cruel as Real Life. It's the strange presentation of this 'magical reality' as a part of the real world that made me fall in love with these books. Escapism at it's best. ^_^

This is gorgeous. Harry really looks small, and insignificant in the "big" closet. This brings up lots of emotion. Thanks for sharing!

Oh wow. That lock on the wall is so sad.

True. And once the door is locked only someone on the outside can turn on the light, which they wouln't do of course. -_-

This picture got me totally unprepared. It's awesome. I really like your art. But I think that's my favorite. *lack of further words*

You have his whole life squished in there. All the details are just adorable ♥. Love the colouring =D.

Graaahh, I love this! Such precious details and the composition is wonderful, accentuates how little Harry is. *________* ♥

Poor little Harry!

I love all the details. That cupboard looks a bit better than I envisioned, but I'm quite relieved to see your concept!

HP 1

His SNEAKERS! *hearts*

As everyone else has said, the detail work is faaabulous. And Harry himself, just perfect, in position, in face, everything.

Beautiful!

^_^ Thank you, no he's not sucking his thumb but he's making himself as small as possible with his hands close to his face.

Aww, that's so terribly sad! I like how you made the cupboard so big and Harry so small, and how you've got all sorts of cupboard-y clutter in there, like Harry's just another bit of refuse tucked away. And yet there's still the alarm clock and comb and his little glasses and shoes, showing that he's made it his home, much as he can. I like the colouring, too, it's almost washed-out, which suits the scene perfectly, I think. Good job!

waaaah! I love his little...little...cot with it's thin metal legs! And the pipe that he has on his little bare wall. I don't think I ever had a favorite of your pics, but this one has to come close, even though I feel like the perspective of the door is a little off.
Wouldn't it be strange if those were Vernon's feet coming down the stairs? O_O

who is a beanie?

forgot to mention that I love your 'top of page' art with Harry climbing out of the paint first to hold his light aloft and guard the others from danger while Ron turns back to help Hermione through, who is looking up at him, out of the paint as well. What a great summation of the Golden Trio's relationship
